INFORMATION SYSTEM - WEEK 4 & 5 :)

               

Assalamualaikum. In this week I have to discuss the various types of information systems that are in use by various organizations.  Information system can be divided by 4 system which are payroll, marketing management, library management system and so on. There are five types of component of IS for example one of them is DATABASE and some of type of IS for example Transaction Processing System (TPS).

ASSALAMUALAIKUM.. In week 3 i have learnt about Distinguish between  different types of technologies for acquiring, processing, storing, disseminating and communicating data or information. in this week i learnt INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY,i this , there are three important word information, communication and technology..information is like reading, research, study. and cummunication is like Internet, email, video conferencing. and technology is like Telephone, fax machine, radio, tv,Satelites, www..

At the end of this class, i learnt how to:
Describe usage of ICT in different sector
Identify the group that benefit from the usage of ICT in different sector
-     Explain the Benefits of ICT as well as: 
Education
Job training 
Health care
Food 
Environment management
Government efficiency

ASSALAMUALAIKUM :) TODAY MY GROUP MEMBERS AND I HAD DONE MY PRESENTATION ABOUT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT... FOR ME.. IT WAS LITTLE BIT DIFFICULT BUT IM TRY TO UNDERSTAND MORE ABOUT THAT.. ASSALAMUALAIKUM :) THIS WEEK I HAVE LEARNT ABOUT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT, COMMON INFORMATION MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS, WHAT IS COMPUTER,EVOLUTION OF COMPUTERS, COMPUTER CHARACTERISTICS,INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

1. INFORMATION MANAGEMENT is a general terms that refers to managing any kind of information.

> Information management encompasses systems such as :

- Web content management (CM)

- Document management (DM)

- Record management (RM)

- digital asset management (DAM)

- learning management system (LM)

- learning content management systems (LCM)
Besides that, i already know what function of infromation management. I also learnt what is computer. computer is programmable machine. Apart from that, computer have 5 generation that have different types. now, i know about evolution of computer. computer also have their own characteristics and categories.
